Tansy Rayner Roberts is an award-winning novelist, blogger and podcaster who specialises in science fiction, fantasy and crime. As Livia Day, she wrote the cosy cafe crime novels, A Trifle Dead, Drowned Vanilla, Keep Calm and Kill the Chef and the digital short story, The Blackmail Blend.
Her notable publications include, Power & Majesty, The Shattered City, Reign of Beasts, Love and Romanpunk, The Mocklore Omnibus (Splashdance Silver/Liquid Gold), Ink Black Magic, Musketeer Space (web serial) and Cranky Ladies of History (as co-editor). Her short stories and essays have been published in collections and journals including Kaleidoscope, Year’s Best YA Speculative Fiction 2014, Year’s Best Australian Fantasy & Horror 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, The Mammoth Book of Gaslight Romance, Phantazein, Review of Australian Fiction, Defying Doomsday, Chicks Unravel Time, Uncanny Magazine and Companion Piece.
Tansy also hosts two all-female publishing and pop culture podcasts—Galactic Suburbia and Verity—and recently launched a third, Sheep Might Fly, in which she presents her own fiction in serial form.
