Mireille Juchau is a Sydney-based novelist, essayist and critic. Her debut novel, Machines for Feeling (2001), was shortlisted for the 1999 Vogel/Australian Literary Award, and has recently been reprinted. Her second novel, Burning In (2007), was published in Australia and Europe and shortlisted for the 2008 Prime Minister’s Literary Award, the Commonwealth Writers’ Prize, The Age Book of the Year Award and the Nita B. Kibble Award.
Mirelle’s most recent novel, The World Without Us (2015) was published in Australia, the UK and US. It won the 2016 Victorian Premier’s Literary Award and was shortlisted for the Stella Prize, the NSW Premier’s Literary Awards and the 2016 Voss Literary Award.
