Adam Thompson is a pakana (Tasmanian Aboriginal) man and an emerging writer, based in Launceston. He has a passion for telling stories about Aboriginal themes and characters. Adam has worked for the Tasmanian Aboriginal Centre for 15 years and has a sound knowledge of the Tasmanian Aboriginal community and the issues that are important to the people. In early 2017, Adam was the recipient of an Aboriginal Arts grant (Tasmanian Government) to work with a mentor and produce a short story compilation by the end of the year. In addition to short stories, Adam has an interest in screenwriting for television and film – and is currently co-writing a short-form comedy series for television.
